Yonggungsa Temple was the first temple we visited in South
Korea. What’s really cool about this
temple is that it’s one of the only temples in Korea located on the shore line,
as most temples in Korea are situated in the mountains. It was first built in 1376....it’s just
amazing to me how long this temple has been around!
It was magnificent!
The pictures will speak for themselves.
I can’t wait to go back in May for Buddha’s birthday when colorful
lanterns will be hung all over the place to celebrate. If you
ever come to Busan, this temple is a must on your to do list!
After parking our car, we had to walk through this small market that sold food and all kinds of souvenirs. Tons of people just stared and smiled at Connar and Parker. They were like celebrities with all the people wanting to touch their cheek and talk to them.
As you approach the temple, you see really cool statues of the 12 Chinese Zodiac Signs along with some other neat statues.
