play & magic at the beach

Because I didn't start this blog until a few weeks into our Korean adventure, I have yet to blog about all of the amazing memories from our first two weeks in Busan, South Korea.  As this blog serves as a written history of our family's adventures, it's important that I backtrack a bit and do some posts from our first two weeks here.  Enjoy!

By this point, Talton had gone back to work after having taken a few days off to spend with us and help us get acclimated to this time zone.  Mom and I spent the morning unpacking and organizing (that went on for days!), and then we went out for a walk in the afternoon where Talton met us down on the beach after work.  The boys made a new little friend there and we were even treated to a magic show by a group of Korean girls.  So cool!

For some reason, my wedding veil was shipped to Busan instead of being put in storage.  I always said that I'd clean house wearing it one day since we paid so much for it.  Today was the day!
uhhhhh, please excuse the hair and nonmatching clothing....old school spirit shirts become lazy, hang out clothes after the year is over.  :)

This little guy followed the boys for a bit on his skateboard, and they thought he was so cool.  :)

tackle Daddy time!
P had to do it too but his turned into a big I'm just gonna lay on you kind of hug.  :)

They liked walking through the tracks the bulldozer made in the sand.
Oh my.  This older Korean lady (on the right) tested my mommy patience and cultural acceptance.  She basically walked up to all of us and took Parker out of my arms so she could take a picture with him, and then vice versa with her daughter.  She was in love with him, and I knew she meant him no harm, so I was trying to be very understanding with her.  But I have to say, still to this day, it still really irks me that she thought that was okay.  Because it still bothers me and even though I understand there was nothing but sweet intentions behind it, I won't let that happen again.  I mean, if you want to take a picture of him, do it.  If you want to hold him, that's another story.  Ask first please.

I let them take a picture or two and then took my baby back.  I was pretty irritated inside but was trying not to show it to the boys since they were having fun.

This is me trying to relax and let him jump off the wall like he wanted.  I insisted that he hold my hand, which he wasn't too thrilled with, but that's what we call compromising my friend.  :)

This group of young girls came up and asked if they could practice their magic (the other family that was playing by us had a Korean mom so she was able to translate that for us).  The man in black was their teacher.  They were so nervous and adorable!
