my little helper & his dance partner

Connar loves, loves, loves to help me!  Seriously, if I'm at the kitchen sink, he runs to my side and offers to wash dishes (of course his version is much messier than mine and doesn't include any soap but you get the idea), he likes to help me load the washing machine and press the buttons, and he likes to tell me what's going on with Parker if I'm not sitting right beside them (okay, maybe that's more like tattling than helping but whatever...it's very helpful if you ask me).  C has also pretty much always loved helping me cook.  When he got up from his nap the other day, I asked him if he wanted to help me make chocolate chip cookies, and he was all over that!

"Can I taste it Mommy?  Jus a wittle, okay, Mommy?  Mmmmmm, dat's good Mommy.  Jus a wittle more, Mommy."

No, the mixer wasn't on.  He just wanted to hold it for me while I took a picture of him.  :)

Getting excited because it's almost ready!!!!  My face looked like this too!  :)

The beaters are my favorite part of baking.  I think I must've passd that gene down to my kids....

Now would be a good time to say that our chocolate chip cookies didn't work out so well in our Korean oven. This was actually my second time baking cookies here, and the first time went well.  I tried 3 sheets of cookies in this silly oven, and I have no idea why the oven didn't cook my cookies evenly.  I have to admit though....I'm secretly (well maybe not so secretly!) happy that the cookies didn't work out.  I'd rather eat the equivalent of a cookie in dough instead of the actual cookie.  Call me crazy, but that's the honest truth.  I love me some cookie dough!  I like it even better without the chocolate chips in it too.  :)

I'm not sure if it was the sugar making him do it or if he was just in one of his brother-loving moods, but after we made cookies, Connar ran over to Parker, grabbed his hands, and started dancing with him.  Parker just giggled and giggled.  It's so fun to watch them play together!

 

 

 

Can't you just imagine the little boy giggles from all this dancing????  :)
