a little alone time does a Mommy good

After putting the boys down to nap on Sunday afternoon, I took off for a couple hours to roam around Shinsegae as well as pick up some items we needed from there.  I have to say, a little alone time every now and then does a Mommy good.

While shopping, I snapped some photos for your viewing pleasure.  :)

These are all humidifiers.  I had no idea they could be so big!  We are told that we need to get one for each room in our house, so we're looking at getting four of these babies in the near future.  Goodness, that's going to cost an arm and a leg, but we're told it's a necessity around here in the Winter when the air gets very dry.

Thinking of getting covers for your refrigerator door handles?  Let me know, and I can pick up a pair for you.

Are the feet of your chairs scraping your floors and/or making lots of noise?  I've got just the thing for you!  Check out these chair feet covers!

Looking to spruce up your light switches?  I've got a solution for you!

I love how they display these aprons on these nifty little cardboard hangers!  It makes it so much easier to look at the design and size of the apron.  Genius and cute to boot!

some board games...

foam alphabet puzzles - English & Korean  :)

This entire section is devoted to origami paper.

Talton told me about this bookstore at Shinsegae that I somehow overlooked the last time I was there.  He said I would love it, and boy was he right!  I didn't care that the foreign section of books was the size of my closet.  There's something about just being in a bookstore that I absolutely love.

Look at these Diary of a Wimpy Kid books in Korean!  So cool!  Having taught 4th Grade boys who lived and breathed this series, seeing these books made me smile and brought back some memories.

How precious is this daddy reading to his daughter in the middle of an aisle?!

Name that book!

The Very Hungry Caterpillar -- one of our faves here in this house

Look at all these people who found a nice, quiet spot in the bookstore to read.  It was so quiet in there, because everyone was so into their books.  I love it!  :)

Look what I found in the tiny English section!  This was one of my favorite read alouds in elementary school!!!!  I've never seen it in a bookstore at home, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to snatch it up while I had the chance.

I forgot to mention that I went to Shinsegae the day before Typhoon Sanba was scheduled to hit South Korea.  When I left the house to walk to the subway, I was dry and I had an umbrella in one piece.  When I got home from walking back from the subway, that was not the case.

Yeah, that's the handle on the left.  One good wind and it snapped in half.  The rest of the umbrella turned inside out and took some metal pieces with it too.  It was all I could do to bury my head deep down in it to shield myself as best as I could.  I'm sure I looked ridiculous, but I didn't want to litter and just abandon the umbrella on the side of the street.
I bought Connar a small jigsaw puzzle at the bookstore.  That's such a hard concept to learn!  He's doing great though as we're trying to teach him how to look for corner pieces and to match up colors.  :)
